Design Head: Pia Gladys Perey

White Kitten is a limited line that ranges from cocktail and party to formal and evening wear that combines high fashion principles with a ready to wear attitude.

White Kitten has been featured consistently in fashion publications in the Philippines and in Philippine Fashion week for the last 2 years. Pia was also celebrated as one of the top ten designers by major fashion magazines for her range in Philippine Fashion Week 2007.

In Sydney, Pia an attending designer for the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2007 and has completed an internship with Australian designer Collette Dinnigan.

Pia Gladys Perey was born and raised in the country town of Tagaytay in the Philippines. As a child Pia was exposed to fashion, sewing and pattern making through her grandmother. Pia would spend her school breaks not playing with her friends but watching her grandmother make clothing patterns.

Pia has worked for various fashion companies such as Spencer, Speedo, Kasheica, and many other retailers and opened a manufacturing business that mass produces original designs for major retailers such as Freeway, Solo, Folded and Hung and Ensembles.

In 2007, Pia Gladys Perey launched White Kitten in Sydney, Australia. White Kitten was launched at ‘The Source’ at the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week in Sydney on Oct 2007.Since the launch, White Kitten has gone on to be featured in the New Generation fashion show during 2008, and the Ready To Wear show during 2009.

White Kitten has been featured and reviewed in Fashion TV and by top fashion magazines and newspapers in Australia such as The Sunday Telegraph (April 27, ‘08 issue), Fashion Journal (June and July ’08 issue), Cleo (July ’08 issue), international forecasting magazine Fashion Trend (second quarter ’08 issue, Australia and Milan), and Elle Hong Kong (July ’08 issue).

Pia Gladys Perey was cited by local publications in the Philippines as one of the top 10 designers in the 2007 and 2008 Philippine Fashion Week. Pia’s Philippine fashion week designs have been featured in the August issue of Manual Magazine (cover story and feature story), Preview, Cosmopolitan, Meg and Mega Magazines. This year, White Kitten was featured in the Premiere Collection of Philippine Fashion Week (May 2009).

Pia is also a member of the Textile, Clothing, and Footwear Association which is currently raising funds for the shipment of over 100 sewing machines donated from Australia to remote and impoverished parts of the Philippines to aid local economies. Pia supports the Childfund organization who aids children in poverty in third world countries.
